How We Helped
After the departure of the engineer who had helped them build their original platform, The Wine Spies were looking for long-term stewardship of their Rails application.
We have worked closely with the Wine Spies team for a number of years, and during this time their business has grown by leaps and bounds. Together we have completed a major redesign and rewrite of their customer-facing business logic, and have developed numerous industry-leading features to drive sales and delight their substantial customer base. Over time we have also helped them scale and optimize the performance of their application, and we provide support and maintenance on an ongoing basis.
Moving Into the Mobile Space
To further maximize customer engagement and encourage repeat purchases, Wine Spies launched its most ambitious offering yet - a brand new mobile application for their custom e-commerce platform.
Making sure to adapt the unique interface and features of the website, this mobile counterpart aims to improve overall user satisfaction, boost buyer retention, and ultimately close the gap between the asynchronicity of daily email deals with the timely nature of their business.
An almost 1:1 parity with the current web features allows users to not only make new purchases on the app, but also track their orders and make changes to their account details and preferences. Of course, that also includes their highly acclaimed features—building Lockers and purchasing Vault Bottles with their orders.
